Barcode Support

Many identity documents—especially in North America—include 1D or 2D PDF417 barcodes, typically located on the back of driver’s licenses and ID Cards. These barcodes follow the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA) standards. VerifyID is designed with advanced scanning technology that accurately reads these barcodes and extracts embedded personal information, such as full name, address, date of birth, and other key identifiers. This capability ensures a fast, reliable, and standards-compliant identity verification process.

MZR Support

The Machine Readable Zone (MRZ) is a standardized section found on the biographical data page of all passports and on certain identity cards. It contains encoded personal information formatted for fast, machine-based reading. When an MRZ is present, VerifyID’s API is engineered to automatically detect and extract all encoded data, including the document holder’s name, ID or passport number, nationality, date of birth, and expiration date. This automation ensures fast, reliable, and accurate data capture, significantly accelerating the identity verification process for our clients.
